  3. Prophet Ayub is one of the most patient prophets Allah (SWT) has had. He advised the people to do good and shun evil. The Prophet Ayub (peace be upon him) was a prosperous man with firm faith in Allah. He possessed vast farms, enormous wealth, many cattle and valuable property but these things did not make him arrogant. His wealth provided him with a medium by means of which he sought Allah's grace. The life of prophet Ayub was the greatest life anyone could ever have. He was blessed with 24 and the most children, was very wealthy, and had the best freshest and largest crops, an enormous castle, and the ability of being patient. Prophet Ayub loved and spent many time with his family.

  4. Prophet Ayoob had everything: wealth, health, friends, children, crops, a castle, etc. Then Allah (SWT) wanted to test Ayoob (PBUH). Allah (SWT) gave Prophet Ayoob (PBUH) so many tough and very hard calamites. He (SWT) took away Ayoob's health and made him have an unknown and incurable skin disease. He (SWT)took away his wealth and He (SWT) took away his children. Also, Ayyob (PBUH)'s friends turned away from him. He only had the support and mercy of Allah (SWT) and his loyal wife. When all of these calamities happened, he dealt with these harsh situations by having beautiful patience and he did not ever complain to Allah (SWT) for anything. Since she saw him suffereing with these calamities, Ayoob (PBUH)'s wife asked him, "Why don;t you ask Allah to help you and cure you?" He the asked his wife,"How many years did we have those blessings and lived in bliss?".She answered,"Eighty years.". Then he said, "Then I feel ashamed to ask Allah before we spend an equal period of trial." Ayoob (PBUH) and his wife waited eighty years of these hard times. During these years, Prophet Ayoob (PBUH) never complained once to Allah (SWT) and he had beautiful patience. His loyal wife kept by his side, trying to get a job and buy medicine so Ayoob (PBUH) could be cured. Unfortunately, the townspeople heard that Ayoob (PBUH) had a disease and no one would hire her because she might be carrying the disease and it might spread. At that point Ayoob (PBUH)'s wife wanted to help cure her husband so desperately. It came to the point of distress when Prophet Ayoob (PBUH)'s wife cut off all of her hair and cut her nails so she could get money for medicine to cure Ayoob (PBUH). When Prophet Ayoob (PBUH) found out that his wife sold her hair to buy him food and medicine, he turned to Allah (SWT) and said in a Du'aa, "Truly distress has seized me, but You are the Most Merciful of those that are Mericful." When Allah (SWT) heard Ayoob (PBUH)'s Du'aa and cry of distress, he ordered Prophet Ayoob (PBUH) to hit the ground with his foot. Of course, Ayoob (PBUH) obeyed what Allah (SWT) commanded him. The instant when Ayoob (PBUH) hit his foot on the ground, Allah (SWT) made a spring gush out of the ground. Then Allah (SWT) commanded Ayoob (PBUH) to drink and bathe with this spring water. Prophet Ayoob (PBUH) did what Allah (SWT) ordered for him to do and he was cured. Also, Allah (SWT) gave everything back to Ayoob (PBUH) that he had lost plus Allah (SWT) doubled his blessings. Now Prophet Ayoob (PBUH) had double the money, double the children, double of the crops, etc. Also, becaus of her sacrifice, Ayoob (PBUH)'s wife now became the most beautiful woman n the town.

  5. The Prophet Ayyoob was mentioned in the Quran countable times. In Surat Al-Anbiya Allah(SWT)reminds us of his miraculous story. He informs the mu'mineen:

    وَأَيُّوبَ إِذْ نَادَى رَبَّهُ أَنِّي مَسَّنِيَ الضُّرُّ وَأَنتَ أَرْحَمُ الرَّاحِمِينَ

    83. And (remember) Ayyoob, when he cried to his Lord: "Verily, distress has seized me, and You are the Most Merciful of all those who show mercy."

    84. So We answered his call, and We removed the distress that was on him, and We restored his family to him (that he had lost), and the like thereof along with them, as a mercy from Ourselves and a Reminder for all who worship Us.
    (Quran 21:83-84)
Prophet Ayyoob was a descendant of Ibraaheem's offspring, as Allaah Almighty declares in the Quran in Surat Al An'am:

"And that was Our [conclusive] argument which we gave Ibraaheem against his people. We raise by degrees whom We will. Indeed, your Lord is Wise and Knowing. And We gave to him [Ibraaheem] Is-haaq [Isaac] and Ya'qoob [Jacob] – all [of them] We guided. And Nooh [Noah], We guided before; and among his descendants, Daawood [David] and Sulaymaan [Solomon] and Ayyoob [Job] and Yoosuf [Joseph] and Moosaa [Moses] and Haaroon [Aaron]. Thus do We reward the doers of good."
    [Quran 6:84]

Allah the Almighty praised His worshipper Ayyoob in His Glorious Quran, Saying:

    وَاذْكُرْ عَبْدَنَا أَيُّوبَ إِذْ نَادَى رَبَّهُ أَنِّي مَسَّنِيَ الشَّيْطَانُ بِنُصْبٍ وَعَذَابٍ

41.Commemorate Our Servant Ayyoob. Behold he cried to his Lord: "The Evil One has afflicted me with distress and suffering!"

42.The command was given:) "Strike with thy foot: here is (water) wherein to wash, cool and refreshing, and (water) to drink."

43.And We gave him (back) his people, and doubled their number,- as a Grace from Ourselves, and a thing for commemoration, for all who have Understanding.

44.And take in thy hand a little grass, and strike therewith: and break not (thy oath)." Truly We found him full of patience and constancy. How excellent in Our service! ever did he turn (to Us)!
    [Quran 38:41-44]

Allah (SWT) mentions the beauty of Prophet Ayyoob's patience many times in the Quran many times to emphasize the importance of Patience and perseverance in Islam.

It is very important to develop patience and perseverance. Believers should know Allah (SWT) will try our Iman (faith). The closer a Muslim believer is to Him, the more He will try them, just as He did to all His prophets and messengers. They should be patient because Allah (SWT) commands them to patiently persevere.
Allah may try a believer’s patience and perseverance by the hands of the non-Muslims or enemies of Islam and even fellow Muslims, who may harm, insult or ridicule them. The non-Muslims may not only insult Muslims verbally, but also act in ways that may hurt or even harm them physically. These Muslims should be firm in their patience and perseverance just like the way the Prophet (SAAWS) did: They should take lessons from the Prophet (SAAWS) who showed patience and perseverance at all times. Mu’mieen should persevere and always turn to Allah (SWT) for His help. They should never blame their selves for any failures or loses, as they should remember that everything is in Allah (SWT)’s hands and is a test.
To help one better their selves or increase their patience and perseverance, there are six obligations they should carry in their everyday life. They should first have unshakable belief in Allah (SWT). Once they accomplish this goal they should then obtain wholeheartedly-loved leadership. While learning these they will gradually gain a sense of responsibility. They should also begin to have an unwavering belief in the truth of the Hereafter. To help them along their way they should read The Holy Qur’ân, which will help their faith. They should begin to give Allah (SWT) glad tidings for their success.
There are dozens upon dozens of verses that remind Muslims to be patient and trust in Allah (SWT) during these times of trial. Among them:
"Seek Allah's help with patient perseverance and prayer. It is indeed hard except for those who are humble." (2:45)
"Oh you who believe! Seek help with patient perseverance and prayer, for God is with those who patiently persevere." (2:153)
"Oh you who believe! Persevere in patience and constancy. Vie in such perseverance, strengthen each other, and be pious, that you may prosper." (3:200)
"And be steadfast in patience, for verily Allah will not suffer the reward of the righteous to perish." (11:115)
"Be patient, for your patience is with the help of Allah."(16:127)
"Patiently, then, persevere - for the Promise of Allah is true, and ask forgiveness for your faults, and celebrate the praises of your Lord in the evening and in the morning."(40:55)

Muslims should also share their knowledge about the virtues of patience and perseverance in Islam with non-Muslims. They should make it clear to them that if they embrace Islam and then show patience and perseverance for whatever trials or problems they may encounter as Muslims, Allah (SWT) for sure will reward them, if not in this world then in the Hereafter. Being patience helps a Muslim increase their Iman and a Muslim should always remember Allah (SWT) will reward them when they are patient -either in this life or in the Hereafter. Allah (SWT) reminds us to be patient and persevere in the Quran. If one shows beautiful patience they will be greatly rewarded one way or another.

Prophet Ayyoub was a descendant of Prophet Ibrahim. He was sent to northeast Palestine to teachb people about the existance of Allah and His religion. Ayyoob was blessed with everything health, wealth, faith, knowlege, success, and friends and family. This did not make him arrogant but to seek Allah's grace.

To test Ayyoob's patience Allah tested him with a great number of calamities, including loss of family, loss of property, loss of health, and loss of wealth. But Ayyoob did not cry or complain to Allah instead he thanked Him. When Ayyoob got into a pathetic condition, he then prayed to Allah:
"Truly adversity has afflicted me and You are Most Merciful of all who show mercy."
To show Allah His acceptance, he said in the quran:
"Then We heard his prayer and removed that adersity from which he suffered, and We gave him his household and the like thereof along with them, a mercy from Our store and remembrance for the worshippers."
And it was then he was recovered. This is why Prophet Ayyoob is a perfect example of patience and faith in Allah.
